The Hagley Theatre company are presenting the World Premiere of a new and exciting play written by Stefan Alderson – “DON’T DATE ANDROIDS”.
Even better, the director has decided to fund an interpreted performance next Wednesday night, as he believes that Deaf should also have access to theatre. If this is welcomed by the Deaf community, he will continue to fund interpreters for a performance every season!
But wait, there's more! All van Asch staff and students are half price.

Here is a bit about the play...

Set in 2032 Zach Thomas is at the trial of his life. He admits to strangling his girlfriend Ida Acesseron; but did he commit murder or was he defending himself against an out of control android?

You as the jury decide in this courtroom drama while examining your own prejudices on what it means to be human.

If you were a fan of “Humans” or have seen “A.I.” or “Ex-machina” then you will find this play very interesting.

It is interesting to note that the playwright was a former student of The Hagley Theatre Company in 1991/2. He is now a writer for Mediaworks.

This play will see the audience as members of the jury who will decide on the night as to whether Zach Thomas is guilty or innocent. Depending on what the jury decide will dictate the ending of the play.

This play is suitable for mature audiences.

INTERPRETED PERFORMANCE: Wednesday 21st June, 7:30pm, Open Stage Theatre, Hagley Community College

TICKETS: $20 adults, $10 students (van Asch staff: $10, van Asch students: $5)
