Work to Transform the Disability Support System

The Government is looking at making big changes to the disability support system.
Work is under way with a co-design group of people meeting for a series of workshops. These workshops are looking at designing a system which provides disabled people and their families more choices and control. There are 13 people on the team, including five disabled people, two family representatives, two from service organisations and four from government agencies.
The co-design group will work together over 9 workshops. The key points of every workshop will be sent out so the rest of New Zealand can see what is being talked about. Information updates, including in NZSL, will be provided after the workshop dates:
